Recently Blizzard Entertainment announced a series of 13
World of Warcraft themed Visa credit cards. The cards feature
the various playable races in the WOW universe such as, Night
Elves, Gnomes, Orcs, and the Undead. Aside from having arguably the
most dorky looking Visa card on the planet, users of the WOW Visa
will also receive rewards for using their card. Some of the rewards
include:
Earning game time:
Accrue World of Warcraft gametime at the rate of 1% of every dollar in qualifying purchases. The World of Warcraft Rewards Visa is the only card that pays you to play.
<Earn a free month:
Receive a month of World of Warcraft subscription time with your first purchase using the World of Warcraft Rewards card.
There's no doubt that for many this card will be a collector's
item, not to mention it will help pay for thousands, maybe even
millions, of peoples game time. But, as a long time WOW player I
have to wonder, couldn't Blizz be engaged in other, more
constructive endeavour for the WOW community?
