Arguably one of the worst games of 2006 is now rumored to have a sequel. Ubisoft has recently posted a job listing at Gamastura for an "Online Programmer (Wii)":

"As an Online Programmer, you will develop the online part of a game engine for a Wii project. You will be located in our Production Studio in Paris, where Red Steel and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter games have been developed."

In addition, the posting states, "knowledge of Unreal [is] a plus?" The original Red Steel used the Unreal 2.5 engine, so it should be expected that Red Steel 2 will stay true to form. The listing closes by with: "would ideally start in June/July."

Does this mean we should expect RS2 by 2008?
