This is the AvP2 Missions Mod Maps you've heard about. A Map of the week selection on www.planetavp.com Three versions of the map available in one download. DM_breakdown for DM/TDM/SURVIVOR/HUNT play. Coop1_Breakdown, the nightmarish and intense outdoor environment when your APC breaks down at night in the middle of nowhere, and you have to get a dropship to come rescue you from the chaotic attack of ALIEN AI. Designed for a team of 4-5 marines to play cooperatively to accomplish the mission objectives and successfully evac. And lite_breakdown, the easier, brighter, and less frenetic version with a new dropship animation. A Single marine can survive this version. All three maps in a less than 5 meg download.

You start in your broken down APC. You have countless Alien AI, sentry guns that have to be set to protect your position, An Exosuit that can help you survive. There are various mission objectives that need to be accomplished, for Evac. You need to restore power, then get to communications, and contact the dropship, then get to the landing tower for evacuation. Be aware of the electrical fencing that needs to be shut off. All this while being constantly bombarded with countless Alien AI that attack members of your squad. The huge outdoor environment, is in hospitable and dark. Try to find the flamethrower and minigun to help you survive. Get from one end of the map to the other. Various secrets are hidden as well.

Directions for Installing Rez resources into AvP2 game

okay you unzip the breakdown.zip,

you go into aliens vs Predator 2 folder on your computer, default location
C:programfilesfoxAliens vs. Predator 2

you create a folder called custom if you don't have one,

you select the MISSIONS1.rez inside the zip and rag it into your custom
folder.

then you start the game,

on the launch screen with the queen you select options

and in the command line you type

-rez customMISSIONS1.rez

you check the box "always specify"

You click okay,

you launch the game

The you choose MULTIPLAYER LAN

HOST LAN GAME

choose deathmatch

check you list of maps. there will now be three additional maps there:

coop1_breakdown
lite_breakdown
dm_breakdown

move them from the left list and add them to the right list. Launch.

you can test them out.
