Look for it in the "FILES" link above. The filename is "Fritz_054_PATCH.zip". Just extract the .zip file into your current fritzbot directory.
NOTE: this patch is ONLY for the Return To Castle Wolfenstein version of fritz, NOT the Enemy Territory version.
File Instructions
A lot of bugs were fixed, and some new features were added.
Among them:
1. New cvar "mal_motd". This lets you print a banner msg at map startup to every client. It runs for 10 seconds.
2. Bots now use the "+activate" key to grab items like docs/gold/etc, making maps like FF_KUNGFU possible.
3. LOTS of little bug fixes and small features added.
For those of you who are FF_KUNGFU fans, I really recommend trying it with Fritz now. I was told before that bots could never play a map like KUNGFU very well, but if you play it, they work quite well, and I'm very pleased with the work that was done. :)
I also have a sad announcement to make. With this patch, I am stopping work on Fritz Wolf for the time being. The community has been great and everyone on the Fritz team loves RTCW, but all of us are a LOT busier now then we were a year ago. And we can't do Fritz RTCW justice only working on it so little between ET releases, so I'm going to focus my efforts on Fritz ET and let Fritz Wolf slide to the back burner.
I do plan on adding a builtin tool that will let waypointers modify certain map entities in a script, complementing the WOLF .script system, sometime in the future, so Fritz WOLF isn't dead, just taking a long break, while the team and I focus on Fritz ET.
BTW: Fritz ET Tank support is already on its way! I'm about 30% done, and hope to have something to show you guys very soon (even if its just a demo movie).
