RUMOR: Metroid Prime Film

Rumor is beginning to spread about a Metroid Prime film! Michael Bay is also rumored to be taking part in the production of the movie (award winning director of Transformers, Pearl Harbor and The Island). However... according to wikipedia Michael is busy with other films until at least 2010. So it's quite possible this is nothing beyond a hoax.
If this does turn out to be false, at least we have a (hopefully) excellent BioShock[1] movie to look forward to, which will be directed by the man behind the "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy.
