This post concerns everyone in the guild. 
 
 
 
RULES/PROCESS 
When you join the guild, you are considered an initiate for 2 weeks. During this period, you may not roll on item drops unless it will be defaulted to you. Also, during this period, you are expected to put forth as much effort as possible during any raids. This does not mean you have to attend every single raid for three weeks, but just show us that you appreciate the guild and working hard. Showing us this will probably work in your fortune on becoming a member more quickly. 
 
ATTENDANCE 
If you abide by above rules and processes, there will be no problem. We raid (currently) Mon-Thurs at 8 PM server, and Sundays 7 PM server. We have Group Calendar (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info5539-GroupCalendar.html) to keep track of raid signups. This seems to have been forgotten about, but as we have gotten larger, I see it being necessary. PLEASE USE IT. Again, if you can't make raids, that's fine. Let someone know if you sign up and will not be coming, though. 
 
ATTITUDE 
Do not yell and scream (especially on Vent.) or insult eachother. There's no need. We aren't hating on you when we criticize. This is a positive environment, and bitching will only make you disliked, and possibly no raid invite. If you feel your attitude at the time is not on par, do not log on in hopes to discourage people. This is not tolerated. 
 
SELFISHNESS 
Do not expect special treatment. This includes: asking to become a member earlier (/class lead/officer), giving up mats for anything (though, often enough, guild members are generous enough and encouraged to share extra items. Hence the multiple guild bank characters). Bring your own consumables and be self-sufficient. 
 
ON BEING A DOUCHEBAG 
The title "Art of War" is above your head. Wear it proudly. Do not give anyone a reason to dislike the guild. 
 
FEEDBACK 
We listen to guild members. We expect to hear you voicing your opinions, whether it be on decisions made in the guild, an encounter, or the game in general. There are plenty of options when you voice your opinion: forums, officers, the GM. See above "ATTITUDE" when you are practicing "FEEDBACK". 
 
PROBLEMS 
These should not be handled in the guild chat or on the forums. You are not children. If you have a problem with someone, try to resolve it with them first. If it is continually escalating, speak with an officer, who must handle the problem fairly. 
 
LEAVING THE GUILD 
Art of War is a friendly guild. By all means, if you leave the guild, make sure it is on good terms. You will generally be welcome back if this is the case. If you become an officer, take all the loots you need, then randomly /gquit in the middle of raid for another raiding guild, there will be no welcome party when you ask to come back. 
 
RAIDING 
Please try to be early by as much a margin as possible. This section will be reiterating. General rules while raiding: 
1. Have fun! This is a game (which we all PAY hard earned money to play), and it is meant to be fun for everyone. 
2. KTM Threat Meter (http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/4204/) and Deadly Boss Mods (http://www.deadlybossmods.com/) is currently required. Get these, use these, and know what they mean. 
3. Know your role in encounters. Ask questions if you are not sure of a particular encounter. 
4. Wasting time is not appreciated. Also, being AFK for long periods is not appreciated. Be kind and let the raid know when you have to step away. 
5. Again, please bring your own consumables (potions/flasks/etc) 
6. Again, read SELFISHNESS. 
7. Again, read ATTITUDE.

Don't be a lewtz whore and you'll get lewtz. We can spot a lewt whore easily, just look at Daysha's gear. 
 
ATTENDANCE 
We think about putting a raid together at 8pm est and wait until 9 to get anything started then call it at 10 when Decinus has to go to bed. 
 
ATTITUDE 
Don't be a prick like Koroshiya or Aevengerii. These guys are the exception and only tolerated because they annoy each other and give us all a good laugh. 
 
SELFISHNESS 
Again Koroshiya is a perfect example of this. Just look at him wanting to raid and get lewtz, wanting to be a class leader and stuff. This guy wants it all and needs to put his ePeen away. 
 
ON BEING A DOUCHEBAG 
Like working at a nail salon. 
 
FEEDBACK 
Truth. 
 
PROBLEMS 
And if these continue to escalate Anemonie will promise to "talk" to you after the raid. 
 
LEAVING THE GUILD 
Go ahead we don't care. We are artist after all and you are just a fly watching as history unfolds around you. 
 
RAIDING 
Make sure you stand around in Shattrah before the raid starts asking when raid invites are going out instead of farming for mats for the raid. Then go AFK right before the raid is supposed to start and miss the first round of invites. The most important thing is to come back about 5 minutes before the raid starts and complain that you didn't get an invite and you were "online" when the invites were supposed to go out. Finally bring just enough potions for one encounter, then beg others for stuff the rest of the night. 
 
 
If you follow these rules you will fit right in.
