I thought Metroid was already out..and heard it was great! However, I have not played it yet, so I really can't say. I think you are right though, if Nintendo doesn't step it up, they are going to fall into the same trap they did with the gamecube.

Yeah, Metroid, Smash Bros, and Mario Galaxy....possibly battalion wars but I just feels that nintendo are kicking themselves in the balls by not releasing enough good titles

Mario Galaxy is good... i currently have 40 stars

Haven't played metroid prime, but i think scarface is quite good, as is resident evil apart from the whole not being able to strafe thing and turning around is a nuisance.

Then Mario party is great fun if you've got a group of mates around.

My games thus far:

Zelda >> Came with console, enjoyed a good first game from nintendo
Wii Sports >> also came with console, family fun
Wii Play >> Came with a controller...some games enjoyable ish
Scarface >> Like GTA for the wii ... can't complain
Resident Evil >> A good shooter ... annoying turning and no strafe
Mario strikers charged football >> A weird look at football and a bit of fun 2 player although am always outclassed online
Sonic >> Read a review somewhere... single player gets boring, and party games not as good as mario party 8
Super mario galaxy >> A good new release enjoying it quite a bit
mysims >> MISTAKE... awfully made loading is atrocious constant lag ... AVOID

Well that's me... feel free to critique/recommend some other games i should play.

Bought Metroid and Galaxy the other weekend, brilliant games. I wasn't sure that galaxy would work and if it would remind me of those awful space planet levels on ratchet and clank but I love it! Metroid succeeds (so far) on where all the other games have fallen, your objectives are very clear so no more wandering around aimlessly, the controls are like a gift from god, the music fits the scene perfectly and the game is HUGE. I would have called it perfection if it had online multiplayer......And of course not forgetting the graphics which, much of the time, rival those of the true HD consoles. If you want to lock yourself up alone for hours, this is the game for you but I wouldn't expect short blasts on it as there are set save points.

I have Resi 4 for the PC, I'll probs get Resident Wiivil when the price comes down as my PC one lags, controls are god damn awful so I never finished it.

Mario Strikers has always looked like a good game, I've just never got round to buying it because of Merio Galaxy and Metroid.

I loved Zelda but with such little replay value I haven't played it since last Christmas. (So addicting, played for like 12 hours on Christmas day, 60 over the whole holiday and finished it lol, but WHY SO DAMN EASY?)
