A sign that Microsoft now see Nintendo's Wii as a rival to their Xbox 360 has emerged today.

The familiar Miis are little versions of you to use in certain games, Wii Sports, Wii Fit and the like.

It it rumoured that these Miis may be making an Wii Mii Playing Bowling (Wii Sports) appearance as "Avatars" on the Xbox 360.

The proposed Avatars are quite clearly a copy of the idea thought up by Nintendo.

The success of Wii's Miis can be put down to the ease of creation and that they are quite fun to mess around with,
and free.

As with most 360 extras avatars will probably cost users as gamerpics did, which were really cropped images of game box art that anyone could create themselves.

All-in-all if avatars are to come to Xbox 360 they need to be a good copy of Miis, and free.

Though if Microsoft are to bring Mii like Avatars to the Xbox 360 console are they not admitting that the Nintendo Wii is better, or at least more original with ideas.

Both Sony and Microsoft have already admitted some sort of envy over the Nintendo Wii, the console which promised motion sensitive controllers, like the later released PlayStation 3, the same with the rumoured Avatars.
