Alot of people got very excited at this news, I'm more restrained considering alot of dissapointing releases lately. However the Blizzard team have a pretty decent reputation going and I'm hoping this plays as well as the prior games in the series
Just remember that this is fairly early work in progress -- nothing is final, gameplay - wise...and even it does just come out with a pretty generic hack and slash swordplay system -- just keep in mind that Titan Quest (a Diablo clone set in Greece) was all right....if a little repeticious at times...
Let us just hope that it's actually great, if a little more innovative...
I remember playing the second Diablo, but I never got the attraction. It all seemed pretty basic to me. Although, granted, I never got into it like most people did. This third installment is hardly a giant leap from the previous incarnations, based on the gamplay video I've seen; slightly more polished graphics, but the same basiic set-up. Maybe that was intended though, to stay faithful to the original.
